Delivering employment - One box of fruit at a time.

Whitelion’s social enterprise, Fruit2Work, delivers fruit and vegetables as well as milk to the workplace, giving those who need & deserve it a second chance.

Fruit2Work gives those stigmatised and disengaged from society a second chance through the provision of meaningful employment opportunities and a positive focus in life.

Fruit2Work provides mentoring and counselling support to help participants manage all aspects of their lives helping them become more valuable members of society.

Fruit2Work and Whitelion merged in early 2017 in order to allow Fruit2Work to “leverage shared resources, capital and a platform for increased sales to accelerate the growth of the enterprise” says Whitelion CEO Mark Watt. It is a business, after all.

“Whitelion is intimately aware of the challenges for former offenders in Australia, where almost every second person to leave prison is back within two years. Fruit2Work helps to lessen the financial impact to society of offending and reoffending, and we are looking forward to further reducing this together”, said Mark.

In the few months that Whitelion and Fruit2Work have been working together, 10 more people have been employed by Fruit2Work and capacity continually increased allowing the business to increase the number of employment opportunities. Many Whitelion corporate supporters have become involved by signing up for the service, and feedback regarding the quality and efficiency of the service has been overwhelmingly positive.
