2018 Applications Open - YoungLions Advocacy and Ambassadors Program (YAAP)

Applications are now open for the YoungLions Advocacy and Ambassadors Program (YAAP) for 2018.

This is a great opportunity for a young person interested in leadership and advocating for diverse groups of young people to challenge themselves and gain the skills to support this.

YAAP is a group of young people (16-24) who are passionate about social change and getting young people’s voices heard. The program runs for one year with volunteers taking part in activities including developing a campaign, attending camps, volunteering at Whitelion events and participating in levels of governance at Whitelion.

The key goals of YAAP is to develop leadership and advocacy skills as well as creating social connections between diverse groups of young people. YAAP volunteers are provided with many opportunities to share their ideas and stories with a range of stakeholders at all governing levels of the organisation.

This year we are looking for young people to take part in two different streams of YAAP: Intensive and Casual.
